Our offices are located in Marina da Gama and we have successfully run projects in Hermanus, Somerset West, Noordhoek, Camps Bay and the city bowl, serving the Western Cape with superb customer care along with skilled craftsmanship.
Although Deckscapes has the potential to design and build in most timber species we have focused on the hardwood Balau from Malaysia. This species is very durable, strong and with little moisture movement. It has an extremely high resistance to abrasion and has a density of 1000kg/m³. Other hardwood timbers commonly used are Karri Gum, Zim Teak, Jakarta, Manil Kara, Jarrah, Garappa and Saligna. Deckscapesnot only designs and engineers quality timber decks, but also successfully constructs timber lattice, latte and pergolas. We also specialise in stairs, walkways, sliding decks, carports and timber frame flat-packed housing as well as doing extensions to homes in timber.
Deckscapes has a goal to be the leading Timber Decking company in Cape Town, not necessarily on size but in quality and service. We strive to satisfy our customer needs and take pride in every project ensuring top quality craftsmanship and structurally sound timber projects.
We make sure you enjoy your building experience while adding value to your home or property. All our products carry a four seasons warranty against faulty workmanship.

Deckscapes cc evolved out of an idea in 2004 to be one of the top Timber Decking companies in Cape Town. We achieved the bronze award in 2005 and in 2010 from the TFBA (Institute of Timber Frame Builders, www.tfba.co.za ), now install decking, jetties, pergolas, timber frame extensions and are also timber frame house builders.
Deckscapes started when the managing member, Charles de Jongh, returned from London with a 3 year degree in Timber Decking and a set of Dewalt power tools. The company started with one red station wagon and 15 years of structural engineering experience. Nowadays we have six teams of skilled craftsmen.
